The challenge

Spherag offers innovative solutions for efficient water management in agriculture through IoT devices and cloud platforms. They needed a platform connecting their Atlas devices (compact, autonomous and solar-powered) with an intuitive user interface so farmers and irrigation community managers could control their irrigation systems remotely.

Our solution

We collaborated with Spherag on multiple technical fronts to build a complete ecosystem:

Cloud platform

  • User-friendly interfaces for the management platform, with interactive maps, sensor dashboards and remote valve control
  • Real-time alert and data analysis system enabling reactions to adverse conditions such as leaks or drought
  • AWS cloud architecture with encrypted communication between devices and platform

IoT integration

  • Sensor and IoT device integration compatible with I2C, 4-20 mA and SDI-12 protocols
  • Connectivity via LTE-M, NB-IoT and EGPRS for coverage in remote rural areas
  • Strong IoT and real-time component enabling instant control of irrigation systems from anywhere

Mobile applications

  • Native iOS and Android apps for on-site monitoring
  • Responsive dashboards adapted for field use with intermittent connectivity

Results

The solutions have enabled Spherag’s clients to manage water more intelligently and sustainably, reducing water consumption and optimising irrigation cycles. The platform operates with Atlas devices that can be installed in a single day, with no wiring needed thanks to solar power.
